Palin's Perfect Performance

The Vice Presidential Debate had only one expectation from Sarah Palin : not to say or commit horrendous mistakes that would showcase the absence of any form of knowledge regarding current issues, nor a pathetic inadequacy for logical thinking. In this she was perfect, because she was shuffling cue cards which she had previously memorized but ensured she would not mix these with unrelated subjects.

This Twitter site provided this flow chart for Sarah Palin's thought process, which could have been part of her cue cards. It says everything.

There were many questions she answered out of context and merely segued into her cue cards to say a totally different matter. Sarah Palin cannot function without a script. She may not be made of plaster and wood but she is certainly John McCain's Dummy. McCain is a clone of George Bush, and Bush is a dummy of Dick Cheney. No wonder he is sometimes referred to as John McSame... Same old Bull....!

Haaarrrrrrrwwwwwk...Twooooooph...Ting!

It terrifies me that people like this are competing for the most powerful and influential position on the planet. Gods help us.

lol Durano
I had a good laugh at the flow chart...
I think we would call that a bad case of procrastination...
politicians seem to be experts in that area... especially in the US!!

All the best.

I agree with layne reward rebel.

It's appalling to me that someone of such low calibre (in this arena) is actually being considered for VP of the US. What has this country come to? Well, I guess if you measure it by how far all our other standards have fallen (morality, education, employment, economic power, what we're now willing to call "entertainment", our media, etc) then, it's right on time.
America has completely dummied down straight across the board.

I won't be surprised at all if this seriously unprepared, unqualified woman becomes president (once McCain keels over). I will, however, be afraid. I will be VERY afraid!

Good post -- funny and frighteningly accurate. I think Palin is made of plaster *and* wood; at best she is woefully underqualified and at worst she is an utter loon. I must concur with some of my fellow commenters: the notion of her attaining any modicum of power in national governance is truly terrifying.

Plain-old incompetance is dangerous, but placing real power in the hands of someone dumber than bush is a recipe for disaster on a large, blood-gushing scale.

that was a very fun read durano. serisly though, i feel that Tina Fey would have been a much better choice for McCain... wait did i just say seriously? honestly speaking, what the hell was the McCain campaign thinking? she could be cute and get elected? that only happens in this godforgotten third world country named the philippines, where trolls sit in as presidents. you know, where bug-eyed height-challenged people rig elections to stay in power, or maybe that's just the beer talking... let me grab some more to be sure

Seriously right on...What's as sad as funny however is that Tina is actually more Palin like than Ms. Straightshooter portrayed via her cue cards on that evening...LOL

I am curious as to how the US Presidential debate is broadcast in other countries. Is it just a side note on some forgotten cable channel or is it a major event on primetime?

Hi Layne,

The point is, the Republicans don't seem to be concerned about what America will come to after the elections. Their only concern is to win the elections.

Sarah Palin is a distraction, to remove the pressure from the age of John McCain, and he is using her as his attack dog.

I hope there are more smart Americans than the Republicans take them for. :-) --Durano, done!

Hello Kim,

You're right Kim, the US politicians are superb in that regard.

There are at least 2 things we now that are good about Sarah Palin: she knows how to read; and she can memorize pretty well. Oh, I almost forgot, she knows how to wink cutely too! Have a nice day! :-) --Durano, done!

Hi Jenaisle,

My sense of humor only bites at those that deserve a good set of teeth marks on their bodies. Or should I say fang marks? LOL!

Thanks for dropping by again. :-) --Durano, done!

Hi Fitness Diva,

There's something you can do about it and that's to vote for the right candidate you feel is worthy. At least, that way, you're not part of the dumbing of America.

That much I know, because I see you as a very smart and intelligent woman. Some people have this pre-conceived notion about fitness practitioners being intellectual lightweights, but from the first time I commented on your blog, I knew you were of a much higher caliber. This has been proven by the topics you churn out ion your site and the way you relate it to health and fitness. Great effort! And to think you run about 10 blogs, Oh my God!

Just reading through all your comments here would instantly reveal that intellect.

Thanks for dropping by Yvonne(?, you're always welcome. :-) --Durano, done!

Hi "r",

There is real danger especially at this time, where McCain is weak on the economy and Palin will deliver only memorized sound bytes. This will not save America and the rest of the global financial markets. We're doomed if they ever make it.

Some identify with her based on this manicured image, without knowing, or are in denial of, the reports coming out of Alaska.

I hope women in America, who comprise about 54 % of the voters do not get infatuated with this wooden image attached to hidden strings. Her victory could be, as Blanca De Bree says: A-Palin. :-) --Durano, done!

Hi Nigel,

WELCOME!

Watch the drinking. People might mistake it for desperation especially so that you may be getting into a very important chapter in your life...and I'm not talking here of the US elections nor the melamine milk...LOL!

Why not bring over some of that beer so we can share it, huh?

Palin is the bait and John McCain is the old goat with a temper tantrum. Great combination for the future of America, or what's left of it. :-) --Durano, done!

Hi Tommy,

As a matter of fact, I believe Tina Fey would be the better candidate. Being a comedian requires a lot of intelligence too! Being a bungler requires very little brains, and I think that whole set Sarah has is shaking and rolling all over her big inflated head. :-) --Durano, done!

Hi Zen,

Luckily for most Asian countries, the US Presidential debates are broadcast live on CNN, Fox, and NBC, and it is a major event. Of course, this is in the urban areas and those reached by cable.

In some other countries like Shri Langka or Myanmmar, you're lucky to get a cable connection if you're not an establishment that caters to foreigners. The rest of Asia is otherwise well-connected. :-) --Durano, done!
