This is going to be a short post as the Spitting Vessel has been tagged by Pink Moonz for eight random facts. A list of rules have been given and are listed below:
1. Each tagged blogger starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
2. Those tagged will write a blog post about their own random facts/habits and post these rules.3.At the end of the post, tag 8 other people and include their names.
4.Leave a comment on their blog, inform them they've been tagged, and to visit your site for the whole story.
So, the 8 random facts about myself:
1. I like wearing Italian made items, especially if these are given as gifts for whatever occasion.
2. At age 12, I thought oral sex was a long discussion about the subject.
3. I climbed a flagpole in kindergarten after betting against a classmate that I could do it. I did. But I was too scared to go back down.
4. I examine decisions closely a second time, especially those I was most certain of the first time.
5. I enjoy learning about history, culture and politics and economics. It makes me realize how much man has not learned from these.
6. Some say I resemble the combined looks of Andy Garcia and Al Pacino. They still owe me money so I guess they'll say anything.
7. I have done a lot of traveling and still do. It started when I began playing basketball and was often called for "Traveling"!
8. One of the things on my bucket list is to be able to lie down on Queen Elizabeth II's bed. Alone!
I will not tag eight other people on this page but will do so in good time. :-) --Durano, done!

The oral sex one... :D Funny the things we believe when we are kids. Innocence is so cute!
I agree, nice to see a personal post once in a while. I liked it!
Whoops! Posted this on the wrong topic! I was wondering where my post went.... ;)
I knew ya walked....everyone saw it....cept the zebra apparently...LOL...Good stuff D....I was a bit surprised to see the ultimate nonconformist bite the bullet on a Meme of all things....Humanizes ya bro! Stay real and peace be with ya!

Hi Zen,
Thanks. But I have done a personal post once before, January 29th I think; which I reposted a few weeks back because of a similar meme from someone who hadn't read it before.
Anyway, I could write another one but it's hard to fit in. I make it a point however to express my personal experiences in my comments to other bloggers, you included, whenever appropriate. :-)--Durano, done!
Hi Debbie,
I was the laughingstock of friends and neighbors after I expressed to them this particular thought at the time.
I was really peeved then, but it sounds funny recalling how naive I was at that age. :-) --Durano, done!
Hi Zhu,
Innocence is what adults will call such things, even at the time. But those who were at my age or a bit older called it by many other names, none of them edifying nor flattering.
And they mentioned it to the girls of the same age as I was who knew about it! Only my inherent mischief that added new stories and misadventures; as well as my sarcastic and venomous repartee to most of the jeers, prevented these adjectives about me on this matter from sticking as a permanent tag.
Haven't you just read a personal post about me recently? The one you tagged me for? It was written in the third person of course, but there's a reason for that. Retelling is living through the same experiences, and some of those in the Seven Stories are still difficult to detail.
Glad you liked it too. That makes 3 of you. :-) --Durano, done!
Hi Fitness Diva,
Whoa! Wrong page? What did you do, remove your comment from this page and pasted it on the comment box of the appropriate topic?:-)Then you deleted the one pasted here?
You're in some hurry. Thanks! :-) --Durano, done!
Hi Tommy,
Wow,is it that bad, like I'm not real because my posts are anything but personal? Is that how I come through? LOL!:-)
Am I an ultimate non-conformist? There are more people who are much more non-conforming than I am. LOL! Oh well, if that's the perception and I don't want it, I have to change it, right? But then, I cannot totally disagree with it since I will be untrue to myself. On the other hand, why do I have to justify myself or expect to be viewed this way or that? Would it make a difference? Why am I still talking about this? :-)
I'm happy to know however, that you now believe I'm human.:-) Peace to you too good friend! :-) --Durano, done!
LOL ...Durano...
enjoyed reading these facts...
Al Pacino and Andy Garcia !!!
two of my favourite actors...I have watched the Godfather series that many times I have lost count ;)
Hello Kim,
I watch the Godfather (all three) on DVD at least once every year, during Holy Week. Don't ask me why.
The Al Pacino and Andy Garcia thing, that's from people who owe me and should be easily disregarded. :-)
By the way, Francis Ford Coppola will do a Godfather IV wherein Andy garcia takes over the Family Business. It was actually handed to Him by Al Pacino in Godfather III in exchange for Andy leaving his daughter (played by Sophia Coppola) alone. She was the one killed in lieu of Al Pacino at the steps of the opera theater.
In Godfather IV, Andy Garcia is the New Don hr co-stars with Leonardo Di Caprio, another intense and superb performer. I'm betting it's going to be a blockbuster.
Coppola should have done the IVth a long time ago but he thought the legend had waned. Later, when he saw the success of the Sopranos, which I have a copy of in all its 11 seasons; he knew the market was alive and growing.
I'm glad you liked the facts and habits. There's a lot more stories and mis-adventures but I cannot put them all in posts. Some will be charged with too much violence or too much nonsense! :-) --Durano, done!
Poor thing, climbing up the flag pole and not being able to get down! I would have thought that was the easy part - one way or another!
I may not comment much on your blog but I always enjoy reading your thoughtful posts and your comments over at my blog. Reading this personal post seemed an appropriate time to tell you this :)
A Godfather IV ?
and with Leo Di Caprio? (my daughter's favourite actor !!)
you have made my day Durano... :) :)
Hi Diane!
WELCOME!
I often see your avatar on the right panel where the blogcatalog widget is and I know you've dropped by.
At the time I was at the flagpole, the cord of the flag broke loose from the base below and was swinging around me until I was wrapped into it. I don't know how it happened but it was like I was tied to the pole with the flag. The school had to call the fire department to get me down. Stupid huh! When I was being jeered by my classmates about it I retorted - "What, can you climb like I did? Can you get the school to call the fire department for you?" -as if it was done on purpose. I don't know if any of them bought it but I wasn't jeered again after.
I love going to your blog. I like the mix of the books, the scenic photos, your commentaries, and the video clips. There's so much to see.:-) I like your sense of humor too!
Thanks for the comment and the kind words.:-) --Durano, done!
Hello Again Kim,
Yes, I read about it somewhere. Well you know speed reading on blogsites sometimes makes you forget where it was. I bookmark these things only in my brain most of the time.
Di Caprio is also one actor I like a lot. He has a compelling screen presence and can express intense emotions. He should have won for Blood Diamond.
If I ever get to have dinner with him, I'll get your daughter an autographed photo. LOL! When would that be. :-)--Durano, done!
